Changing your TreasuryDirect settings

Employee Self Service (ESS) enables employees to cancel their TreasuryDirect payroll deductions. Cancellations made to your TreasuryDirect payroll deductions may take up to two paychecks before becoming effective.

To change your TreasuryDirect settings

  1. From the navigation menu, click Employee Self Service, then Payroll and Compensation, then Deduction Information, then click TreasuryDirect.

    Your current TreasuryDirect information appears.

  2. Click the Change Account Info button.

    A New TreasuryDirect Deduction Info box appears.

  3. Update all necessary fields.

  4. Click the Submit Changes button.

    A Confirm dialog box appears containing the current TreasuryDirect information, new TreasuryDirect information, and the Confirm dialog box.

  5. Read the new TreasuryDirect information to ensure that all information was entered correctly.

  6. In the Confirm section, you may select to have an email confirmation sent. Enter your email address.

  7. Click the Confirm Changes button.

  8. The Current TreasuryDirect Info and Pending TreasuryDirect Deduction Info appears.

    An email will be sent to you stating that a pending change has been applied to your TreasuryDirect information in ESS. The change should be processed by the next business day but may take up to two paychecks to become effective.
