Canceling your IRA payroll deductions
Employee Self Service (ESS) enables employees to cancel their IRA payroll deductions. Cancellations made to your IRA payroll deductions may take up to two paychecks before becoming effective.
To change your IRA settings
- From the navigation menu, click Employee Self Service, then click Payroll and Compensation, then click IRA.
Your current IRA information appears.
- Click the Cancel Plan button.
A Confirm dialog box appears containing the current IRA information and an Employee Authorization dialog box.
In the Employee Authorization section, enter the last four digits of your Social Security number.
A Confirm dialog box appears containing the current IRA information and the pending cancellation which includes a Doc Number.
- In the Employee Authorization inner dialog box, click the Certify/Confirm button.
An email will be sent to you stating that a pending change has been applied to your IRA information in ESS and that the change should be processed by the next business day but may take up to two paychecks to become effective.
