Viewing the health plan summary

Employees may view a summary of their benefits at any time in Employee Self-Service (ESS). The benefits summary may be viewed as of the current date or as of a future enrollment date.

If the benefits summary does not reflect a new enrollment change, that means that the change has not yet been approved by the agency benefits department or NYCAPS Central (NCC), whichever is applicable.

To view the status of an event

  1. From the ESS navigation menu, do the following:

    1. Click the Employee Self-Service link.

    2. Click the Benefits link.

    3. Click the Benefits Information link.

    4. Click the Health Plan Summary link.

    The Health Plan Summary page appears with a summary of your elections. The default view is the current date.

  2. To view a future date, enter the date in the box using the MM/DD/YYYY format and click the Go button.

  3. To view additional information about your enrollment, click the Medical link.

  4. If you enrolled dependents, click the Dependents link to view current or future dependents' enrollment information.
