Review/Accept Employee Performance Documents
Overview
An employee can review his/her Tasks & Standards once the Manager releases it for Review. The employee may choose to add comments in the Comments section and Sign and Accept the Tasks & Standards. At the end of the rating year the employee can review his/her Performance Evaluation document and Sign and Accept or Sign Under Protest and may choose to add comments in the Comments section.
These steps are meant for employees who are being reviewed:
Process Steps - Beginning of the Rating Period
- The Employee receives an email notification stating a ‘Performance Document review is needed’
- The email notification will provide the Employee with a quick link to access the document pending his / her review and acceptance.
- The Employee can review the Tasks and Standards by clicking the ‘View’ button on the Document Progress section of the Document Details page.
- The Employee may make suggestions to his / her Manager about the Tasks and Standards (outside the system).
- The Employee may choose to print his / her Tasks and Standards by clicking on the Print icon.
- The Employee may also choose to address any issues or concerns by emailing them to his/her Manager by clicking on the Envelope icon.
- The Employee has to acknowledge his/her Tasks and Standards by selecting ‘Sign and Accept’ from the drop-down list in the Employee Signature section then clicking the ‘Save’ button.
• Note: An email will be sent to the Manager stating that a ‘Performance Document has been accepted’.
Process Steps - End of Rating Period Review and acknowledgment of Performance Evaluation
- The Employee receives an email notification stating that ‘a Performance Document review is needed’.
- The email notification will provide the Employee with a quick link to access the document pending his / her review.
- The Employee can review his / her Performance Evaluation rating by clicking the ‘View’ button on the Document Progress section of the "Document Progress" section of the Document Details page.
• Note: The Employees' Performance Evaluation is available as view only at this time.
- The Manager may hold a conference with the employee to discuss the performance evaluation ratings. .
- The Employee will receive another email notification stating that 'a Performance Document Acknowledgement is required'.
- The Employee has to acknowledge the Performance Evaluation by selecting ‘Sign and Accept’ or ‘Sign Under Protest’ from the Employee Signature section.
• Note: If the Employee selects “Sign Under Protest” the employee may choose to file an appeal outside of the system, based on Agency policy.
- The Employee then clicks on the “Acknowledge Review” button.
• Note: An email notification will be sent to the Manager stating that a “Performance Document has been Acknowledged”. The Manager will then need to mark the document as Complete and then the document will be added to the employee’s "Historical Documents" on ESS.
