Transfer period

A change to an employee's health benefits outside of a qualifying event can be made during the transfer period. Communication regarding the dates for the transfer period will be distributed to employees in advance.

If an employee does not make any changes during the transfer period, his or her health benefits remain the same.

Health benefits transfer period

The health benefits transfer period occurs during the fall and the benefit effective date is the first day of the first full pay period in January of the following year.

MSC Health Benefits Buy-Out Waiver Program transfer period

The MSC Health Benefits Buy-Out Waiver program transfer period occurs during the fall. The benefit effective date is January 1st of the following year.
